Shawn McBurnie has spent strange aeons in tireless investigation of the harmonic and semantic qualities of the human voice, thus gaining a rare command of overtone, undertone, innuendo, and implication. In the course of these studies, he has - without surgical alteration of any kind - converted his voicebox into a musical instrument! Coincidentally, Shawn's hyoid is completely detached from the rest of his skeleton.
Chad McAnally is one of a tiny and far-flung group of researchers and experimenters dedicated to raising the Gaelic wire-strung harp from the dead. A number of these once-extinct instruments have emerged from his laboratory, and he has an award-winning ability to compel them to do his bidding. Chad's bones are largely metallic.
Adam Modares ranks among the intrepid few to gain proficiency at what initiates know as 'throttling the octopus' - that is to say, bending the uilleann pipes to his will. Not content with the Grip and the Truckly-How, he has also beaten the mighty Djembe into submission. Adam's heart, as befits that of a percussionist, beats roughly 10800 times daily.
Brian Barnes has sought - and found - arcane wisdom far and wide, bringing it together in experiments upon the common guitar that fainter hearts might term 'unnatural'. Reports that he has literally mesmerised entire audiences may be exaggerated. (Or may not.) Brian's average velocity is 18 miles per second relative to the sun.
