E Squared Reels

This set is named for our friends at the E Squared Cafe, who are particular fans of Adam's piping.  (Trendsetters!)

The reels are:
Fermoy Lasses
The Maid in the Cherry Tree
Peter Street

All are traditional.

Fermoy, in County Cork, is a small town on the Blackwater River.  Current word is that the fishing's good there, but we think this refers to salmon.

The Maid in the Cherry Tree appears on page 131 of O'Neill's, and is there given the equivalent Irish title of An Aindir sa Crann-silin.

There's a stretch of the N72 going through Fermoy that's known as Patrick Street. We'll use that as our excuse for listing the third reel as Patrick Street on the CD.  The reel is, in reality, Peter Street, or if you're Scottish, Timour the Tartar.
